Sunday In My City ~ Our Great Divide Ski & Stay (Lake Louise)
Last weekend, we skied a BIG mountain!
We had heard about a ski & stay package for the Great Divide Lodge (on the British Columbia/Alberta border) and decided to check it out. For $99 per adult, you can room at the Lodge for the night with a lift ticket to Lake Louise Ski Resort included (retail approx: $82.95). Keep in mind this establishment is bare bones and has no mini-fridge or telephone (in room). However, there is a restaurant, Wi-Fi and telephone services in the main lodge. With an amazing view and heaps of snow, the Great Divide Lodge was a fun place to experience. It was also a great deal for those wanting to be first up the hill, or for those wanting to do multiple days of skiing without driving back to the city.
The kids and I had never skied at Lake Louise before. This was our first time! I am sure it won't be our last, as we enjoyed a sunshine filled day of skiing that we were all pleased with. (These little tykes skied a cool 13km for their day! Proud parents!)
At the top of the gondola, ready to tackle our last run of the day! |
And we captured our first video of Xman skiing this year.
Look at him go!
(Xman is in blue. Age 5)
Happy Sunday!
Be sure to visit Unknown Mami and the gang to see what they've been up to!
