Review: Disney on Ice "Princesses & Heroes" - Fun For Everyone! #Calgary
I always say, "No one does it better than Disney!"
Because, Disney always, always, always does it right!
Now, I am pretty sure I am not alone in this feeling, as many, many friends of mine were also sharing their 'Disney on Ice' moments from this past weekend on Facebook. I can't even decide what I liked about it the best? Was it the set, the costume changes, the quality of skating, the seamless scene changes, OR the amazing attention to detail??
Whatever it is = Reasons we keep coming back!
The show "Princesses and Heroes" opens with Aladdin, the Genie and Princess Jasmine. I thought it was a nice touch and a possible nod to the great Robin Williams, who unfortunately passed last year. The tale moves on with Belle in a recognizable round of 'Be Our Guest', Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 'Work Work Work' the whole day long, Cinderella prepares for the ball where she meets Prince Charming and more!!
Disney is able to capture our attention so completely, because we already know the stories and we already know the songs. The magic on stage eclipses all else. If you weren't singing along with everyone else in the crowd by the end of the show, you must not have a heart.

After the intermission... it was FULL ON FROZEN!
Yes, the crowd went crazy when Elsa first skated onto the scene. And YES, the crowd went wild when Anna made her entrance. But the crowd still had more to give when Olaf showed up! The fun-loving snowman -- in my opinion -- stole the show! (I'm ready to coin him as the BEST Disney original character EVER!)
This was our second time seeing a Disney on Ice show and we'd do it again! The tickets are reasonably priced and the show is pure quality. A fun, family day out!
