Planning Ahead for Summer 2017: Booking Our Pine Lake Leisure Resort Stay, A Parkbridge Lifestyle Community
It's the first day of Spring already??
While I am not completely sure how we got here from Christmas, I'll take the longer days of sunshine and warmer temperatures. Sign.me.up!
But... oh oh! Did we need any rain gear or boots for the kids? Because whoops, I probably needed to buy that 2 months ago!
And hmm, have I missed the boat on signing the kids up for summer < insert activity here > ??
Sigh.
I know there is one thing we did last summer that I have NOT forgotten to do... book our stay at the Pine Lake Leisure Club, a Parkbridge Lifestyle Resort near Red Deer, Alberta.
At the Pine Lake Leisure Club, we were blessed to find a peaceful RV community nestled along the tree lined lake-shore. We stayed in one of six cabins available for rent (complete with beds, television, and a kitchenette) , a little more glamp than our own cabin in British Columbia, and we could not have had a better view!
Kids played on nearby playgrounds, duck families walked the path, water skiers and boaters enjoyed the calm waters. There really is no better way to enjoy the summer than to sit lakeside and take it all in. We even watched a rather impressive thunderstorm roll in across the water.
The Pine Lake Leisure Club was also fully equipped with a swimming pool, cafe, a small store (that even had a small liquor/beer selection), and the best part... a small restaurant that made
FRESH HOT FRENCH FRIES!
Seriously, the pool was fun but french fries!! |
We are all pretty stoked to head back to Pine Lake this summer. MommyO and DaddyO are originally from Ontario, so sometimes we miss being able to lake swim or to even be near an outdoor pool, so this was certainly a nice treat. (Where we live in Alberta, it is mostly glacial water. Meaning = Super Cold)
Beebo was totally into finding Duck feathers! |
We definitely recommend Pine Lake Leisure Resort if you're looking for a fun, mid-Alberta glamping weekend. If you have an RV or trailer, you're already set! If you need digs, the cabins were a great rental for our stay and very comfortable too.
Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities have many other resorts just like the Pine Lake Leisure Resort across Canada. Be sure to check out their website to see if there is one near you!
